I have not been able to visit Virginia yet, but ever since I was a little girl I have ALWAYS wanted to go and visit Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Have you ever heard of them? The way I discovered them was reading the book Misty of Chincoteague when I was in elementary school. I must have read that book 10 times, it was one of my favorites.

It seems like lately, thanks in part to a certain MTV series, New Jersey is getting a bad rap. I've only ever been to New Jersey a handful of times, most recently I took a trip to Atlantic City with my little sister. We had a great time!

This Saturday is the running of the 136th Preakness Stakes. Animal Kingdom won the Derby, if he wins the Preakness Saturday he will be 2/3 of the way to the Triple Crown, and I will have to revise this print!

Did you know that I used to live in Brooklyn? It's true! For three years I called a duplex on Troutman St home. At first, I didn't really take to big city living, but by the end of my stay, I had grown to love Brooklyn. Williamsburg was always my favorite neighborhood to hang out in, so I took the L train a lot.

I have a confession to make. For the past 10 years or so, I have been obsessed with The Big Lebowski. A second confession: the first time I saw the movie when it was in theaters I HATED it. Thought it was awful. It was a DVD re-visitation of the movie (against my will) that changed my mind permanently. So much so that I eventually named one of my cats after a character: Walter.

Now that spring is springing, everyone wants to go out and take a trip! I have only been to Pennsylvania once. The story is pathetic, so brace yourselves: I was driving with a friend through Pennsylvania from Brooklyn headed to Buffalo. We got hungry around 9pm and were near Scranton. We stopped at a Long John Silver and ate food, then got back on the highway. See, I warned you, pretty pathetic story!

If I were to go back to Pennsylvania, where should I go, and what should I do?

I have been longing for winter to be over for WEEKS now (haven't you?!)

So, what are YOU looking forward to this spring?

You Rock Memphis!

My boyfriend M, and several of my closest friends have lived in Memphis. The stories I hear are of endless fun, rock and roll, BBQ, humidity, and a great sense of community.

I've only been able to visit Memphis once with M, and it was more of a drive thru. We only managed to really stop two places: Central BBQ for dinner and Kwik Check to pick up sandwiches to stock our road trip cooler with.

M and I are both looking forward to visiting again as soon as possible, in the mean time I have this new print listed in my etsy shop to remind us we need to go back!
